Tree Trim Green Bin Frequently Asked Questions

A single 240L bin is $20 per collection. You nominate how frequently you would like your bin emptied on sign up. Our two options for collection are either fortnightly or monthly. So this equates to either $40 or $20 per monthly respectively. 

Our 240L bins are purchased online for your convenience via our online store. It's very quick and easy! There are zero sign up fee's. Once your order has been completed, we will receive an email with your contact details. We will then get in contact with you to discuss your bin order. 

No, there are no contract periods, just email us in advance to advise if you wish to cancel your collection service. 

If we have a EXISTING bin in stock your Tree Trim green waste bin will be delivered within 5 days of placing your order. Please note that we will not be ordering any NEW bins as of October 2025 due to Gladstone Councils region-wide Garden Organics (GO) collection as part of Council’s commitment to implementing its Waste Management and Resource Recovery Strategy. We will continue to operate as usual, but will be working only with our current bins in stock, and we will not be expanding our bin stock levels.

Billing will start when your collection service starts. Invoices are sent by via email. We kindly ask that you pay on receipt of your invoice. We also have direct debit options to make paing your bill easy. You can simply "set & forget". 

It’s quite simple really, all of your general green waste from your yard including the following items can be placed in one of our Tree Trim bins - up to a maximum weight of 50kg

· Grass clippings

· Branches 

· Palm fronds

· Garden Pruning’s

· Leaves

Things that can’t go in your Tree Trim Green Bin are large logs, dirt/soil, plastic of any kind, bricks, rocks, building material, large tree stumps, food, perishables, dead animals, bark chips, compost, kitty litter or dog droppings.

Your Tree Trim bin is always emptied on a Friday at either 2 weekly or 4 weekly intervals depending on your chosen frequency of collection. Collection days occur in accordance with our yearly collection calendar. We kindly ask that you put your bin out to the kerb the night before your collection day so it is ready & visible when our collectors come. Please refer to our collection calendar for exact 2025 collection dates.

Did you have a big garden clean up and suddenly have more green waste than our 240L bin can handle? No problem. We offer discounted rates for our Tree Trim green bin customers & can collect it all for a modest additional fee. Please let us know a day in advance and we can pick up any extra green waste you may have & invoice accordingly. If you find that you are filling up your existing bin quickly, you may like to consider increasing your collection frequency or purchasing a 2nd bin.

If we missed your bin on collection day, don’t worry we will be back to collect it within the next couple of days. Please contact us via email to report if your bin has been missed.

If you forget to have your bin out on collection day for our driver to access, we unfortunately will not be able to collect it again until your next designated collection day. You will also be invoiced. 

Moving to a new house is stressful. Keeping your Tree Trim green bin is not. Simply email us to update your address details. We will collect your bin and take it to your new home free of charge. 

We have removed the option to purchase a NEW green bin from our online store as Gladstone residents will be able to dispose of their green waste through the new regional Garden Organics (GO) kerbisde collection services. This service will be rolled out from July 2026 by Gladstone Council  as part of Council’s commitment to implementing its Waste Management and Resource Recovery Strategy which will include a separate green-lidded bin for garden waste. 

We will continue to operate as usual, but will be working only with our current bins in stock, and we will not be expanding our bin stock levels. If you would like to get one of our PRE-OWNED bins, please visit our online store & complete the check-out process. Our staff will receive your request and will get back to you within the working day. If we have any pre-owned bins in stock, we will organise delivery and slot you into our collection run.
