Tree Trim Green Bin Frequently Asked Questions

For all our bin services we require a $30 deposit for the bin itself. When you are finished with our services & if the bin is in good working order (less wear & tear of course) we will refund your deposit via direct deposit straight back into your bank account. Moving forward, our ongoing prices are based on bin capacity. For our 240L bin, each collection is charged at a rate of $20. The 140L bin is $15, and finally the 120L bin is $12.50 per collection. You nominate how frequently you would like your bin emptied on sign up. Options for collection include fortnightly or monthly. 

All of our bin services are purchased online for your convenience via our online store. It's quick and easy!

No, there are no contract periods, just phone us in advance to advise if you wish to cancel your collections. 

We will normally deliver your new Tree Trim green waste bin within 10 working days of placing your order. 

Billing will start when your collection service starts. We kindly ask you pay on receipt of this invoice. We also have direct debit options to make paing your bill easy. You can simply "set & forget". 

It’s quite simple really, all of your general green waste from your yard including the following items CAN be placed in our Blue-Lid Tree Trim Wheelie Bin up to a maximum weight of 75kg

· Grass clippings

· Branches (must be no longer than 50cm and approx. 15cm in diameter)

· Palm fronds

· Garden Pruning’s

· Leaves

Things that can’t go in your Tree Trim Green Bin are large logs, dirt/soil, plastic of any kind, bricks, rocks, building material, large tree stumps, car parts, food, perishables, dead animals, bark chips, glass, compost, kitty litter, dog droppings, human excrement – no sanitary napkins, nappies or liners. 

Your Tree Trim Blue-Lid bin is emptied on a Friday depending on frequency of collection in accordance with our Gladstone Region Collection Calendar. We kindly ask that you put your bin out the night before collection day so it is ready when our collectors come. Simply place your bin out on the kerb & we will empty it for you. Remember if your circumstances change, you can change your collection frequency or bin size at any time. If a collection day falls on a public holiday, rest assured we will collect your bin as normal either the day before or on the next working day. Did you have a big garden clean up and suddenly have more green waste than you can handle? No problem. We offer discounted rates for our Tree Trim green bin customers & can collect it for a modest additional fee. Please let us know a day in advance and we can pick up any extra green waste you may have & invoice online accordingly. If you find that you are filling up your existing bin quickly, you may like to consider increasing your collection frequency or you bin capacity. 

If we missed your bin on collection day, don’t worry we will be back to collect it within the next couple of days. Please contact treetrimgreenbins@treetrim.com.au to report if your bin has been missed.

We usually miss bins because someone has parked a vehicle in the way of our vehicles when we come to empty them, or the bin may be too full or have contaminated content. If, however you forget to have your bin out on collection day, we unfortunately will not be able to collect until your next designated collection day & you will be invoiced. 

Moving to a new house is stressful. Keeping your Tree Trim Blue-Lid green bin is not. Simply email treetrimgreenbins@treetrim.com.au to update your circumstances & address details. We will collect your bin and take it to your new home free of charge. 

No problem. If you decide you no longer require your Tree Trim Blue-Lid green bin, no problem! Just let us know and we will come and collect your bin. If it is still in good condition (less wear and tear of course) we will happily refund your $30 deposit via online direct deposit. Easy! As a leaving customer we would welcome any feedback you can offer. Please note that if you have handled your bin carelessly, we reserve the right to not refund your $30. If the bin is damaged & no longer in working order as a result of misuse or other action on the part of the user or if the bin is lost as a result of an action or failure to act to protect the bin against loss or damage, we will charge you the cost of replacement of the bin.
